About Me

I’m a professional copy editor and proofreader with more than 19 years’ experience helping clients polish and perfect their writing (my resume).

My expertise lies in copyediting—including light, medium, and heavy (often referred to as line editing)—and in proofreading materials to ensure they are error-free prior to publication. I’m proficient in APA style as well as the Chicago Manual of Style, 18th edition. I earned a Graduate Certificate in Editing from the University of Washington; I also hold a BA in English from Lewis & Clark College.

I have experience copyediting fiction, nonfiction, memoirs, magazine articles, web content, and personal essays. I also have extensive experience in academic editing, refining journal articles and nonfiction book manuscripts by academic professionals across the country, from New York University to Boston College to Loyola Marymount and more.

In my spare time, I read pretty much everything I can get my hands on. When I need a reading break (what’s that?!), I love art, music, walks in the woods, travel, and spending time with my family and friends in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
